Jeffrey Levineis a Licensed Psychologist with over 40 years of clinical experience. He concentrates his work on individual therapy with adults using an approach referred to as Internal Family Systems [certified Internal Family Systems Therapist]. His work has been strongly influenced by mindfulness, meditation, energy healing, and eastern-western approaches to psychotherapy. Dr. Levine is committed to creating a safe space for his clients to explore their issues. Dr. Levine does not view symptoms in a pathological manner. He views symptoms as a protective way in which pain has been shielded, often at times when we did not have enough resources to cope more effectively with life circumstances. Dr. Levine has worked with most of the symptoms likely to impact reaching our greater potential. These include [although not limited to] anxiety, depression, the addiction process, compulsions and phobias, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and all types of abuse. He has also worked with client’s presenting somatic complaints, I.e. fibromyalgia. Dr. Levine recognizes that everyone has challenges and hurdles that can prevent us from living a life with greater peace and happiness. He also believes strongly that the resources needed already exist within each one of us. His treatment approaches offer a safe and client centered way to find the “self” we were meant to be. He believes that no individual at the end of their journey should have wished for a better life and regret not reaching for it. Dr. Levine believes regardless of life circumstances, wellness and well-being are obtainable.
